Project title: Hilltop Kitchen
An extended, close-knit family of parents and adult children worked together to renovate a ranch house with 360° views of the Virginia countryside. The owner is particularly interested in the psychology of color and chose a calming yet lively palette for the kitchen that complements the color scheme of the house as a whole. A salvaged countertop from a demolished hotel tops an extra high cabinet at the window, and the center island was designed around an antique butcher block to provide multiple work spaces.
