Project title: Chinquapin Hill
The original farmhouse, built by the owner's grandmother and now the center of a multi-property family compound, was too small for five active children, extended family, and a menagerie of pets. Improvements were made, such as replacing its aluminum siding with stucco, but the character and scale of the house is preserved on the street side, while on the rear a large addition extends into a landscape developed for play.
